A little bit about us...
Welcome to The 1878s.
Back in February 2022, before the Leeds United game at Goodison, a group of Evertonians far and wide got together and discussed what they could do to improve the atmosphere at Goodison Park and away games. The thought process was how it would be possible to pick the players up during a tough time for the fans, players and club whilst showing our new manager Frank Lampard, what Everton is all about.
We contacted the club, regarding making some banners and flags that could be used before and during matches. We've had regular meetings since with the Everton who have been fanastic in supporting the plans and any ideas put forward.
What happened next will go down in Goodison Park folklore. Never did anyone expect how unbelievable the reaction would be. In the last 6 months every Evertonians experienced or viewed some of the greatest atmospheres that Goodison has ever seen, some even say 'that' Crystal Palace game tops the lot, that's some statement to make.
Our view is these things don't happen if fans don't join in and get on board. A plan and idea has now become synonymous with welcoming the team coaches, flags, banners, not to mention the blue smoke seen for miles on a match day.
We hope to share more great times together in the future. This is just the start, not only for now but also to give Goodison Park the send off it deserves, then continue on into our new home on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey.
If there is one thing that all of this has proved, it is that when Evertonians are together, then anything is possible!
Please get in touch via our email or on social media with any ideas, questions or to even find out more information.

An update from us...
As we edge closer to Sunday’s fixture against Manchester United, we believe it is now important to share and let you all know what we have purchased, the plans and finances so far.
Through the generosity of Evertonians we have raised a whopping £41,469 at time of posting. This has far exceeded our expectations and as unified fanbase, we have shown once again how truly special this football club is.
We have so much going on, from banner making, flags arriving, leaflets being printed, a fly-over, attending fan meetings and this just scratches the surface. To everyone connected within the Everton community, thank you for the support, generosity and time in getting behind what we are trying to achieve.
We have received our first transfer from 'Just Giving' worth £19,117.74 and we would like to share with you what we have spent so far below…
We have now paid in full (photo attahced) for a fly-over. This fly-over will be flown this weekend (weather permitting) during the Manchester City v Liverpool match on Saturday. We have now paid £1080.00 in full (photo attached). This banner is set to be seen by millions across the world.
We have also paid two invoices worth £4113.10 and £4651.65 for our custom banners and flags, as shown on our X (twitter) page. This money has been paid in full with proof of payment attached.
Another invoice we have now paid in full is worth £2400, (photo attached). This was for an order of 50 thousands A4 cards that will be distributed on Sunday at Goodison Park. Please head to our social media page for more details on the cards and where they will be distributed ahead of Sunday’s game.
We understand and respect peoples hard earned money has been donated and it is our responsibility to be transparent and open with what we are doing and what has been paid for. Once we have more updates and more monies paid, we will update you all.
Thank you for all the support
